Pleasing God by bearing His image as a Giver

In the movie Chariots of Fire, Olympian Eric Liddell said, “I believe God made me for a purpose… and when I run, I feel His pleasure.” [God is a giver, and thus….] Those who’ve discovered the Treasure Principle will testify, “When I give, I feel His pleasure.” [Page 31, The Treasure Principle by Randy Alcorn]

Alcorn bases his message on the words of the world’s foremost financial consultant, Jesus Christ, who advised listeners to “store up for yourselves treasures in heaven” (Matthew 6:20).  “God owns everything,” writes Alcorn. “I’m His money manager. What I call my money is really His. The question is, what does He want me to do with His money?”
