Be Grateful, Give God the Glory

High-capacity donors have a God-given longing to give, but they also have questions that need to be answered before they can be comfortable giving. In dealing with major donors and potential major donors, we need to recognize that they are asking, consciously or not. For example:

Will you be grateful?
It’s crucial to express gratitude for a major contribution — in fact, to truly be grateful — as you receive the gift and as you update the donor on the progress of the project. Everyone has a need to be properly appreciated.

Will you give the glory to God?
Don’t take glory for the ministry, the team, or anyone else. Give God the glory — it’s His work; it’s His resource — it’s all about Him!
